I am so thrilled that we are back to swapping! This month's secret ingredient was CHEESE. mmmmm so I picked an amazing (and not that high in calories!!!) cheeseburger soup. We were to use paper from our scraps, and to stick with a snowy winter theme. Lucky for me, I had a few sheets of awesome snowflake paper that were half and 3/4 unused. I used all bazzil carstock except for printed the recipe on WW by SU. I found some cool silver cs scraps and cut the little pots from my "From the Kitchen" cricut cartridge. The silver cord is from SU. I am still debating on fulfilling the challenge to add brads...

November Iron Chef
Secret Ingredient: CARROTS. And it's a favorite food of Ella's, so it will be great to have more carrot recipes!!!! I had a dessert catagory. So, Light Carrot Cocoa Snack Cake it is! This month Jessica sent us all a little inspiration... a page out of BHG, I think... It had orange furniture, china & more. The orange chair really stood out to me... so I went down to our local scrapbook store to see what I could find. I found the prettiest orange and cream damask flocked paper... it was $2 a sheet and I bought three... little did I know I would only use one. So now I need to make some fun fall cards and maybe a layout with the rest! I also picked up some fun textured bazzil cardstock. I spent a while looking at my find when I decided to add some brown bazzil cs. I had a bunch of very vanilla ribbon and used v.v. cs to print my recipe on. I was looking for a measuring spoon stamp I had when I stumbled across this one... I have never used it. My mom bought it a while ago, and since she doesn't stamp she sent it home with me when I visited. Oh my gosh, it was just perfectly retro. I didn't have any punches big enough to fit my stamp. So then I had a DUH! moment. I used my cricut. Yep, that expensive sucker just sits in my closet. I forgot how much fun it is... so now it's sitting on my desk waiting for more action. Enjoy!

Iron Chef Swap... CUPCAKES!
I was so excited to start unpacking my paper crafting supplies this past week!!! I still have about half in storage, but I am going to sneak them over ASAP. I keep finding goodies I didn't realize I had, and OH MY WORD do I have a lot of stamps!!! I haven't had them all out since last October so it will be overwhelming when I do.
Anyway, I used to participate in a monthly Iron Chef 6X6 recipe swap, hosted by one of my best paper crafting friends, Jessica in Kansas (her blog is listed on my blog list!). Instead of a secret ingredient this month, our theme was CUPCAKES (how incredibly cute!). I have a few cupcake stamps, but chose this acrylic stamp that came in a way cute set by Inkadinkado.
I used some Bazzil, Martha Stewart and SU! cardstock... and the patterned paper is by EK Success. Oh, and that little swirl? It's my most favorite little swirl, from SU!'s Season of Joy set. I use that little thing in far too many projects!
Anyway, here's the first recipe card project I've attempted in months....
I decided on Matcha cupcakes after all. I wanted to do the Green Velvet Recipe I found... yet I just could not. I've been going green lately and won't add food coloring to my baked goods... unless it is natural! Matcha is a powdered green tea, it can be found at oriental specialty stores or health-food shops... or online!
